Avanti

In 1960 Studebaker introduced the Avanti. The Avanti is a 4 seater coupe with a fiberglass body. Front disc brakes came as standard for the first time on any mass produced American car. They originally came with a 4.7 liter V8 engine and a 4 speed transmission. By 1963 they offered a 5 liter which had a top speed of 170 mph. When Studebaker closed in 1964, 2 enthusiasts took over Avanti and continued producing them. Avanti
