1969-1972 The
one that started the Datsun overseas market. Up to date specs combined
with lavish equipment at reasonable prices. The detail specs and options
differed from market to market but they had a 2.4 liter motor with a
5 speed transmission or a 3 speed automatic. The
240 had a high level of trim was standard lots of options offered (including
A/C).
260Z
1973-1974 A
slight increase in engine size and a 2+2 version was also offered in
some markets.
280Z-
1975-1978 In 1975 a slightly large engine was introduced
which had fuel injection. Which became the 280Z version.

Roadster 1961-1969
production of 40,000. A 1488cc engine meant a top speed of only 95
mph and 0-60 in 15.5 seconds. Slight improvements over the lifespan
of the car.
Early Z cars are a very collectible item.
They have no emission control or safety regulations and run fantastic.
The 240 Z was a very popular car when they first came out.
There are plenty of available parts to
keep them running because so many cars were produced. It also makes them
affordable. There were over 130,000 240 Z's exported to the US between
1970 and 1973.
There are also alot of aftermarket parts to make these
cars run better. This little car is rugged and durable, so they make great
transportation which is simple to maintain. 1969-78 produced: 622,649
